Home and Studio of a designer and sculptor, the Garden Studio transforms the previously dark, enclosed home into an expansive, light-filled sanctuary. Placed within a garden setting, the tree filled outlook is brought into every room with new doorways leading to side garden pathways and opening up new patio spaces.

A narrow, restrictive hallway was removed to fuse the living and circulation areas. A panellised marmorino plastered wall was introduced as backdrop to the living space, concealing the private bedroom and bathroom quarters behind its polished surface. Full height pivoting mirrored panels allow the studio to be compartmentalised or opened entirely to the main living areas. As they pivot, these mirrors scatter and fracture the views of the garden, creating an ever-changing visual dynamic.
